Azerbaijan starts exporting tomatoes to one more country

In the first ten months of this year, 120,342.35 tons (-25.1% from 2020) of tomatoes worth $ 129.65 million (-24.9%) were exported from Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing State Statistics Committee.

After a two-year and three-month hiatus, Azerbaijan resumed tomatoes exports to Latvia. Tomatoes have not been supplied to Turkmenistan from Azerbaijan for at least the last ten years (note: official public trade statistics are available until 2011).

During the reporting period, the country imported 845.5 tons of tomatoes worth $684.100, which is 5.3 times more in value and 3.5 times more in quantity than in the same period last year. Tomatoes were imported to Azerbaijan from 7 countries.
