Azerbaijan sharply increases frozen beef import from Brazil 

Azerbaijan imported 344.11 tons of frozen beef worth $1.61 million in January 2022, down 27.1% and 10.1%, respectively, from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

In eth reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 265 tons for $1.27 million from Ukraine, 78.01 tons for $315,120 from Brazil, 0.42 tons for $10,920 from Argentine, 0.48 tons for $4,660 from Turkiye, 0.12 tons for $3,070 from the US and 0.09 tons for $2,050 from Luxembourg.

Compared to a year earlier, the imports from Ukraine decreased by 28.8% and 12.3%, respectively, while from Brazil, they increased by 3.4-fold and 2.6-fold.
