Azerbaijan sharply increases export of tomatoes to Poland

In January-March Azerbaijan exported 24,491 tons of tomatoes worth $31.2 million, down 23% and 20%, respectively, from the same period in 2022, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
In the reporting period, Azerbaijan supplied 23,427 tons (-24%) worth $29 million (-22%) to Russia, 702 tons (+8.5%) worth $1.7 million (+34%) to Belarus, 360 tons (+4 times) worth $519,000 (+3.5 times) to Poland, 0.89 tons (+3.5%) worth $3,800 (+3.4 times) to the UAE, and 0.4 tons (export was resumed after one year and eight months) worth $1,100 to Qatar.
Some 97.3% of the 141,420 tons of tomatoes exported from Azerbaijan to 11 countries last year were purchased by Russia.
