Azerbaijan sharply increases export of peanuts from Turkiye and Brazil

In January-May 2022, Azerbaijan imported 2,612 tons of peanuts worth $3.588 million.

According to Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, compared to the same period last year, imports increased in value terms by 15.2% and in quantitative terms - by 11.4%.

During the reporting period, 1,644 tons (-5.7%) worth $ 2.070 million (-4%) were imported from Uzbekistan, 323.1 tons (+29.4 times) worth $ 465,100 (+18 times) from Turkiye, 325 tons (+10.5%) worth $ 510,649 (+8%) from Argentina, 250 tons (+2.6 times) worth $ 422,530 (+2.8 times) from Brazil, and 54 tons (-23%) worth $ 89,100 (-16.8) from India.
