Azerbaijan’s peach imports shrink sharply

In January-May this year, Azerbaijan imported 67.89 tons of peaches worth $139,320, showing a drop of 47.2% and 20.2%, respectively, compared to the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 66.33 tons (47.2 % less compared to the previous year) of peaches worth $127,360 (-52.4 %) from Turkiye, 1.19 tons (-24.2 %) worth $9,500 (+23.2 %) from Chile, and 0.4 ton (-61.5 %) worth $2,470 (-47.8 %) from South African Republic.
Last year, 59.4% of 479 tons of peaches purchased by Azerbaijan from abroad (from 6 countries) fell to the share of Georgia and 37.4% to the share of Turkiye.
