Azerbaijan's apple exports grow

Azerbaijan exported 9,429 tons of apples, valued at $6.2 million, in the first month of 2024, up 17.5% and 16%, respectively, from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

This is an increase of 17.5 percent in volume and 16 percent in value compared to the same period of 2023.

In January 2024, Azerbaijan supplied 8,400 tons (+10%) of apples to Russia worth $5.61 million (+16%), 411 tons to the United Arab Emirates worth $237,000 (no supply a year ago), 374 tons (+74%) to Kazakhstan worth $156,200 (+2.4 times), 126.1 tons to Qatar worth $84,200 (no supply a year ago), and 56.99 tons (-22%) to Uzbekistan worth 66.930 (+43%).
