Azerbaijan resumes imports of pineapples from 2 countries

Azerbaijan purchased 927.47 tons of pineapples (fresh or dried) worth $885,660 during the first half of the year.

According to Report’s calculations based on the data from the State Statistics Committee, this is 13.6% more in quantitative terms and 10.2% more in terms of value compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, 899.17 tons (+25.6%) worth $813,570 (+33%) were imported from Costa Rica, 14 tons (-62.2%) worth $56,670 (-58%) from Thailand, 13.12 tons worth $11,160 from Indonesia, 640 kg (+94%) worth $3,210 (+ 2.1 times) from Mauritius, 110 kg of products worth $550 from South Africa.

Deliveries from Indonesia resumed after a break of 2 years and 8 months, and deliveries from South Africa resumed after 1 year and 7 months.
