Azerbaijan resumes purchases of natural honey from main supply market

In the first four months of 2022, Azerbaijan imported 54.34 tons of natural honey for $258,880.

According to Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, this is 61.3% more in value terms and 50% more in quantitative terms than in the same period last year.

During the reporting period, 26.39 tons (+3.3 times) of honey were purchased from Russia for $132,030 (3.3 times more compared to last year), from Turkiye - 16.41 tons (+80.3%) for $58,100 (+15%), from Spain - 6.59 tons (there was no import a year ago) for $48,650, from Iran - 3.95 tons (-75.7%) for $12,130 (- 73.8%), from Germany – 430 kg (- 68.7%) for $4,510 (- 61.5%).

Last year, out of 134 tons of natural honey purchased from abroad (13 countries), 41.5% fell on Russia and 24% - Turkiye.
