Azerbaijan resumes onion exports to two countries

In January-May of 2024, Azerbaijan exported 2,000 tons of onions worth $643,400, 33% less in terms of quantity and 16% less in terms of value year-on-year (YoY), Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 1,112 tons of onions (there was no supply a year ago) worth $339,000 to Iraq, 309 tons (-31%) worth $152,000 (-44%) to Russia, 268 tons (-88%) worth $51,200 to Georgia, 99.7 tons (there was no supply a year ago) worth $44,900 to Oman, 111 tons (+2.6 times) worth $28,000 (to Ukraine.
After four years and three months, Azerbaijan resumed the supply of onions to Türkiye (23.5 tons worth $5,880), and after four years and two months to Bulgaria (65.7 tons worth $13,140).
