Azerbaijan resumes imports of vegetable seeds from two countries

During the first six months of 2022, Azerbaijan imported 68.92 tons of vegetable seeds for $6.061 million, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

According to the committee, the monetary value of the imports decreased by 12.4%, but the volume increased by two times compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 0.04 tons (decreased by 43% compared to a year ago) of vegetable seeds worth $959,800 (-47.7%) from Peru, 10.68 tons (+7.3 times) worth $952,610 (+4.1 times) from France, 0.01 ton (unchanged) worth $832,000 (+99 times) from Guatemala, 11.8 tons (+85%) worth $751,200 (-55%) from Turkiye, and 0.03 ton (-88%) worth $553,860 (+5.5 times) from Brazil.

After six years and 11 months, the supply from Bolivia was restored, and after one year from Germany. 0.01 tons worth $1,100 and 1.92 tons of vegetable seeds worth $9,150 were purchased from these countries, respectively.
