Azerbaijan resumes honey exports from four countries

Azerbaijan imported 134.19 tons of honey worth $676,880 in 2021, respectively, up 9.2% and 41.3% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

In the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 55.6 tons of honey ($278,280) from Russia, 31.61 tons ($210,450) from Turkiye, 38.58 tons ($113,150) from Iran, 3.48 tons ($33,760) from Spain, and 1.89 tons ($17,030) from Germany.

The country resumed honey imports from France after a break of a year and 11 months (30 kg worth $1,170), from Spain after three years and six months (3.48 tons worth $33,760), from Mexico after five years and seven months (1 ton worth $5,530) and from China after nine years and three months (880 kg worth $4,410).

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 510 kg of honey worth $6,660, respectively, up 75.9% and 18.7% from the previous year. Of this, 160 kg ($4,100) were exported to an unspecified country, 90 kg ($1,070) to UAE, 50 kg ($760) to Kazakhstan, 210 kg ($690) to Russia and 10 kg ($50) to Japan.
