Azerbaijan resumes frozen beef imports from 2 countries

For eleven months of 2021, Azerbaijan imported 4,004 tons of frozen beef for 16.482 million, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.

Compared to the same period of the previous year, imports in value terms decreased by 45.11%, in quantitative terms - by 48%.

During the reporting period, 3,321 tons of products were imported from Ukraine for $13.858 million, from India - 490.07 tons for $1.420 million, from Brazil – 132.07 tons for $779,340, from Russia - 18.19 tons for $220,550, from Paraguay - 27.08 tons for $58,230.

Compared to the same period in 2020, imports from Ukraine decreased by 47.81% and 46.33%, respectively, from India - by 13.2% and 15.79%, from Brazil - by 80.16% and 59.5%, while imports from Russia grew by 54.94% and 57.14%.

After a break of one year and one month, deliveries from Paraguay resumed, and after a nine-year break - from Lithuania. Azerbaijan imported 100 kg of frozen beef worth $870 from Lithuania.
