Azerbaijan resumes cotton exports to Russia

From January through October 2021, Azerbaijan exported 101,252.99 tons of seedless raw cotton worth $160.67 million, respectively, up 44.04% and 69.7% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported almost 95,598 tons of seedless raw cotton worth over $151.43 million to Turkey, 5,634 tons to Iran for $9.207 million, and 20.52 tons to Russia for $29,760.

Compared to the first ten months of last year, exports to Turkey increased by 46.9% and 74.5%, respectively, to Iran - by 8.36% and 16.7%.

After a one-year break, supplies to Russia have been restored.

From January through October 2021, Azerbaijan imported 0.52 tons of seedless raw cotton for $2,030 from Turkey, China, and Germany.
