Azerbaijan reduces soybean oil purchase from main supply market

In the first seven months of 2022, Azerbaijan imported 918.47 tons of soybean oil for $1.674 million, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
Compared to the same period last year, the imports increased by 20% in value but decreased by 15.2% in quantity.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 779.17 tons (-20.6%) from Russia for $1.45 million (15.4% more than a year ago), 24.3 tons (-25.8%) from Turkiye for $35,130 (-1%) and 65 tons from Ukraine for $90,250 (no supply last year).
In 2021, Russia accounted for about 88.7% of the 1,771 tons of soybean oil imported from 4 countries.
