Azerbaijan more than triples import of beans from Turkiye

In the first eight months of 2022, Azerbaijan imported 1.243 tons of beans (dried) worth $1.519 million, respectively, up 3.2% and 8.7% from the previous year, Report informs, referring to the State Statistical Committee.

In the reporting period, the country imported 1,058 tons (+7.9) of beans worth $1.260 million (+15) from Uzbekistan, 53.93 tons (-58.8%) worth $91,830 (-50%) from Kyrgyzstan, 45 tons (no supplies were made in the previous year) worth $53,000 from Brazil, 24 tons (no supplies were made in the previous year) worth $33,220 from Russia, and 25.36 tons (+3.5 times) worth $33,010 from Turkiye.

Some 81.7% of the 2,720 tons of beans brought to Azerbaijan from 17 countries last year were purchased from Uzbekistan, 6.4% from Kyrgyzstan, and 5% from Brazil.
