Azerbaijan increases cabbage import from Iran by over 70 times

In January this year, Azerbaijan purchased 1,234 tons of cabbage abroad (excluding cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and broccoli) for $491,110.
According to Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, this is 73 times more in price terms and 74 times more in quantitative terms than in the same period last year.
During the reporting period, 1,228 tons of products worth $488,550 were imported from Iran, and 6.4 tons of products worth $2,560 were imported from Turkiye.
Compared to the same period last year, deliveries from Iran increased by 73 times and 74 times, respectively. Since the first month of 2021, Azerbaijan has not imported cabbage from Turkiye.
Last year, out of 3,000 tons of cabbage purchased from abroad, 55% came from Iran.
