Azerbaijan becomes major market for export of sheep from Georgia

In January-August of this year, Georgia exported sheep (live) worth $11.2 million to Azerbaijan, up 2.2 times from a year earlier, Report informs, citing the calculations based on the data of the National Statistics Office of Georgia.
Thus, Azerbaijan ranks first among the countries (7) to which Georgia exports sheep.
During the reporting period, Georgia sold sheep worth $24 million to foreign countries, which is twice as much as a year ago. In particular, Georgia exported sheep worth $6.1 million to Saudi Arabia, $3.4 million to Iraq, $2.1 million to Kuwait, and $704,000 to Qatar.
