At least 16 cars belonging to Amazon were burned in Berlin as a result of riots that occurred in the early hours of May 1, Report informs via the Bild newspaper.

According to the paper, the vehicles caught fire early in the morning on Thyssenstrasse. 28 fire brigades are involved in the fire extinguishing effort.

According to preliminary data, it is a case of arson. Witnesses claim to have seen several masked criminals near Amazon cars, the newspaper points out.

On April 30, a demonstration by representatives of leftist forces took place in Berlin. About 3,000 people took part in it. The police were pelted with eggs, pyrotechnics and stones. There is no word yet on any arrests. The order in the capital of Germany was ensured by 3,000 police officers.

Leftist demonstrations also took place in Hamburg and Leipzig. About 900 activists, mostly women, took part in the demonstration in the Hanseatic city. In Leipzig, approximately 400 people took part in the march.
