NTRC unveils funds allocated for each TV channel in Azerbaijan

Funds will be transferred this month

Baku. 2 June. REPORT.AZ/ In accordance with the order of Azerbaijani President 'On one-time financial assistance to private TV broadcasters in the Republic of Azerbaijan' dated May 12, 2016, each private TV channel will be paid 333 333 AZN.

Report was told by Toghrul Mammadov, Administration Chief of Azerbaijan National Television and Radio Council.

According to him, the funds will be transferred to the accounts of channels this month: 'The funds will be transferred after signing of contracts with the channels. NTRC presented the contracts to TV channels. No TV channel signed the contract yet. If they sign the contracts, funds will be transferred this month'.

According to the decree signed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on May 12, 2016, the Presidential Reserve Fund of State Budget has allocated 2 (two) million AZN to the National Television and Radio Council in order to provide financial assistance to private TV broadcasters. The funds will be equally divided among ATV, ANS TV, Khazar TV, Space TV, Lider TV and Region TV.
