Baku. 9 February. REPORT.AZ/ A former president of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) and a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Mario Vazquez Ranya died at the age of 82. Report informs, he died after a long illness.

Mexican media-magnate led to ANOC for 33 years. He resigned from all his positions in the IOC in 2012. For the last time, a businessman who was fighting against the serious illness, led to Pan American Sports Organization.

Mario Vazquez Rana visited Azerbaijan in 1994 for the first time.
