​Migration Service: Azerbaijan attaches utmost importance to migration

Report informs, it was stated by deputy head of the State Migration Service (SMS) of Azerbaijan Parviz Musayev at the presentation of the "Handbook of European legislation on asylum, immigration and borders", translated into Azerbaijani language.

According to him, the state structure since its inception has been closely cooperating with international organizations. He recalled that as a result of Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the country faced with 1 million refugees who were forced to leave their homes: 

"Azerbaijan has been closely cooperating with international organizations to address the issue of placement of these individuals. Without their help, it would be difficult to resolve problems of their accommodation and provision."
