Head of Ombudsman's Office: Azerbaijan has all conditions for realization of human rights on Internet

Baku. 1 March. REPORT.AZ/ Today, the Internet is a free space where people are able to express their opinions, implement freedom of information, as well as other features.

Report informs, said the head of the Office of the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan Aydin Safikhanly speaking at the conference "Internet and Human Rights" organized in the framework of 'Freedom of expression and freedom of media in Azerbaijan' project.

According to him, Azerbaijan has created all conditions for the exercise of the rights on the Internet. In addition, he stated that the portal "Electronic government" has been created in the country, through which people can apply to the state authorities: "Besides, was also modified a website of the Ombudsman, where the citizens through the "Electronic government can write their treatment in a simplified form."

A.Safikhanly also noted that sometimes in the implementation of some of the rights are violated the rights of others, for example such as a personal integrity: "Another concerning point is related with the rights of children in the Internet space. Many users on the Internet are young people up to 15 years, and some information may harm them, but encouraged by the fact that service providers in the country are blocking these malicious information that can bring children to suicide state."
