Minister of Education of Azerbaijan revealed cause of low teacher salaries

Baku. 17 January. REPORT.AZ/ By increasing the number of study weeks and teaching load, salaries of teachers can raise. The Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov said that at a press conference, Report informs.

He noted that 64 teachers in Azerbaijan have less than 408 teaching hours in a year. The weekly academic load is less than 17 hours.

'The reason for the low salaries of teachers is not only that the amount of payment per 1 hour is small, but the fact that they have less teaching loads'- the minister stated.
