The Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) is implementing the University Innovation Exchange Program (UIEP) for 24 students from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Georgia,

The Asian Development Bank told Report that 24 students from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), iWestminster International University of Uzbekistan, Almaty University of Management of Kazakhstan and the American University of Georgia presented various start-up ideas and shared their experiences.

As part of the program launched in Almaty on July 17, the participants visited Azerbaijan. During the three-day stay, they visited the IBA Innovation Center, SABAH.HUB Innovation Center and other leading incubation centers and got acquainted with their practice.

The final event of the program in Baku was held at the Innovation Center within the ASAN Service (INNOLAND). Raza Farrukh, head of the project management group of the Asian Development Bank in the country, who participated in the event, thanked each student for their contribution to regional cooperation and wished them successful implementation of ideas.

Three teams of Azerbaijani students presented startup ideas such as 4you, an online mental health service, Feedhub, a service for monitoring and responding to customer feedback, and iSU, a single platform for various water providers.

The exchange program involving 12 teams from four countries in the region will end on July 29 in Tbilisi.
