Norway faces player loss for match with Azerbaijan

Baku. 19 August. REPORT.AZ/ The Norwegian national team faced loss of a player on the eve of the 2018 World Cup qualifying match with Azerbaijan and Germany.

Report informs, the English club Hull City player Markus Henriksen will not help his team for about 2 months.

He got a leg injury during the second half of home match of the Champions League 4th round with Wolverhampton, which was lost 2:3. Physicians say that the 25-year-old midfielder will be restored in 6 weeks. Henriksen was injured for the second time this year. He will not play in winter for 3 months.

Notably, the Norwegian national team will face Azerbaijan on September 1 at home and with Germany on September 4. Markus Henriksen played for 90 minutes in the game at Baku Olympic Stadium on October 8, 2016, with 0-1 defeat to Azerbaijan. After six rounds, Azerbaijan ranks 4th in Group C with 7 points, Norway 5th with 4 points.
