Uzbekistan will host the 25th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Report informs referring to the Uzbek Embassy in Azerbaijan.
The event, which will be attended by representatives from a large number of countries, will be held in Samarkand on October 16-20.
Heads of tourism organizations and departments from countries such as Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Albania, Bahamas, Bahrain, Guatemala, Haiti, Cote d'Ivoire, Indonesia, Monaco, Niger, Panama, Portugal, Sierra Leone, Ukraine are expected to arrive in Samarkand, Uruguay and Yemen.
During the 25th session of the General Assembly, issues of international cooperation in the field of tourism will be discussed at plenary sessions and a number of other large-scale conferences.
In addition, as part of this event, an investment forum is also expected to be held.
