Tourist flow to Azerbaijan increases by 32%

In January–September of this year, 1,536,375 people from 183 countries came to Azerbaijan, 32% more than the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

In September alone, the number of tourists increased by 21% year-on-year and reached 192,115 people.

Russia leads the top 15 countries, from which tourists visited Azerbaijan last month. In September, 50,500 people came to Azerbaijan from Russia. Türkiye with 36,100 people and Iran with 15,500 people completed the top three.

The list also include India (11,600), Georgia (10,000), Saudi Arabia (7,000), Kazakhstan (6,700), Pakistan (5,500), Israel (4,300), China ( 4,000), Uzbekistan (3,600), Kuwait (3,100), Ukraine (3,000), Turkmenistan (2,300) and the United States (2,200).
