From December 20, 2021, all persons traveling to Romania will need to complete a digital questionnaire due to the risk of the spread of coronavirus infection.

Report informs that, based on the personal data, employees of the Romanian public health department will be able to more easily identify and contact persons who have come into contact with a citizen infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus during travel.

The information indicated in the questionnaire is as follows:

- name and surname, identification and contact details of the person, country, region, and town from which the citizen travels to Romania, including transit;

- locality and address of arrival in Romania;

- a vehicle used to travel to Romania;

- date of entry into Romania;

- data of minors, if any.

The questionnaire is filled in by all persons traveling to Romania by any communication means.

A digital questionnaire can be generated electronically using the link.

Moreover, the website of the Romanian government states that persons arriving at the checkpoints of this country without a questionnaire will be required to fill it out within 24 hours.

A fine from 2,000 to 3,000 lei is envisaged for refusing to fill it out.
