Number of tourists visiting Azerbaijan more than doubles

In January-October of this year, the number of foreign tourists who visited Azerbaijan increased by 118% to 1,323,416, Report informs, referring to the State Tourism Agency.

Over 160,000 tourists came to the country in October of this year, which is 76% more than in the same period of 2021.

About 34% or 54,100 of the tourists who came to Azerbaijan in October, are from Russia. Turkiye comes second with 28,300 people, and Iran third with 15,300 people.

The other countries on the list are as follows: India (9,400), Georgia (8,500), Pakistan (5,600), Saudi Arabia (4,100), Uzbekistan (3,200), Kazakhstan (3,100), Israel (2,500), Belarus (2,400), Ukraine (2,300), United Arab Emirates (2,200), United Kingdom (1,600) and Turkmenistan (1,400).
