Number of Azerbaijani citizens rest in Georgia up by 14%

Baku. 4 August. REPORT.AZ/ In July of 2017, a great increase was observed in the number of visitors from Azerbaijan to Georgia.

Georgia bureau of Report News Agency informs, number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling to Georgia last month increased by 13.8% compared to the same period of last year.

Increase in number of Russian tourists made 60.4%, Armenian 25.4%, Turkish 0.6%, Iranian 85.8%.

In general, in July, Georgia received 982,487 foreign tourists. This is more by 28.5% compared to the the same period last year.

In 7 months, Georgia received 3,978,657 foreigners, which is more by 16.8% than a year earlier. 1,829,331 of this figure accounts for tourists (more by 30.2% in annual comparison).

In the first quarter of this year, Georgia's income from international tourism amounted to $ 434.6 million. This is more by $ 82 million compared to the same period of 2016.
