Italian Embassy issued over 10,000 visas to Azerbaijani citizens last year

Baku. 16 February. REPORT.AZ/ The Italian Embassy has issued more than 10,000 visas to Azerbaijani citizens in 2017.

Report informs, Italian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Augusto Massari said.

The diplomat highly appreciated the tourism cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy.

"Last year, more than 10,000 visas were issued, despite the fact that some of them were business visas, but we observed the tourism growth," he noted.

Italian Ambassador said that the number of Italian tourists coming to Azerbaijan is not so great, but he expressed hope for growth: “Azerbaijan attaches great importance to development of the tourism industry, in particular, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture makes efforts for its development."
