The Indonesian authorities have extended the ban on the entry of foreign citizens until February 8, Report informs referring to the Association of Tour Operators in Russia (ATOR).
Foreign guests were banned from visiting the country until January 28. The exceptions are passengers with already activated residence permits, diplomats, and holders of official visas.
"Indonesia is extending the travel ban for foreign nationals to prevent the spread of the coronavirus," Head of the COVID-19 and Economic Recovery Committee (KPCPEN) and Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said.
There are also restrictions on social activities on the islands of Java and Bali until February 8.
There are currently no direct flights between Russia and Indonesia. The few Russian citizens who came to the country on a business visa used mainly connecting flights via Dubai. But from January 1, it is also impossible to get to this state, declaring the visit’s business purposes.
