Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno has announced that the issuance of ‘golden visas’ will soon begin to attract trustworthy tourists to the country, Report informs referring to Detik.
“The introduction of the ‘golden visa’ is at its final stage. It will be launched in the next few weeks,” the minister said. Sandiaga Uno noted that this is a visa with a stay of 5 to 10 years, in order to obtain it, foreign citizens visiting Indonesia must meet a set of criteria, such as having a sufficient amount of savings.
The minister believes that the introduction of this visa will be able to attract trustworthy tourists. He also hopes that foreign investors will take advantage of the new visa.
Earlier, The Jakarta Post reported that Bali Governor Wayan Koster warned foreign tourists against making cryptocurrency payments and threatened violators with fines and imprisonment.
