Flow of tourists from Azerbaijan almost doubles

In January-October 2022, the total number of Azerbaijani citizens who traveled to foreign countries increased by 1.6 times year-on-year and reached 1,215,500 people, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

According to the committee, in the last one year, the number of people going to Iran increased by 2.8 times, the number of people going to Georgia by 1.7 times, the number of people going to Turkiye by 1.6 times, and the number of people going to Russia by 15.9%. About 46.7% of Azerbaijanis traveling abroad visited Turkiye, 17.9% visited Russia, 11% visited Iran, 8.7% visited Georgia, and 15.7% visited other countries.

Also, 64.3% of those going abroad were men, 35.7% were women.
