Ding Tao: China seeks to simplify entry of Azerbaijani tourists into country

China aims to simplify entry for Azerbaijani tourists into the country, China's chargé d'affaires in Azerbaijan, Ding Tao, said at a press conference on December 20, Report informs.

He reminded that the flights between Beijing, Baku and Urumqi operate five times per week.

"We fully support Azerbaijan Airlines in their desire to increase the number of flights to China. In July of this year, Azerbaijan unilaterally introduced a visa-free regime for Chinese citizens for one year, which increased the number of Chinese tourists by more than twice," said the chargé d'affaires.

He noted that the number of Chinese language learners in Azerbaijan is about 8,000 people.

"The Azerbaijani language is taught at prestigious Chinese universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Beijing Foreign Studies University," he added.
