Azerbaijani cuisine presented in Turkmenistan on sidelines of UN conference

Samples of Azerbaijani cuisine are presented in the Avaza tourist zone in Turkmenistan as part of the "National Days of Azerbaijan," Report informs referring to the State Tourism Agency.

The demonstration was organized by the agency jointly with the National Culinary Center under its jurisdiction as part of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.

The culinary section of the exhibition area presents traditional dishes and national sweets of Azerbaijani cuisine, and also demonstrates the culinary traditions of the country.

Visitors can get acquainted with the concept of the stand, designed on the basis of elements of Azerbaijani gastronomy, included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List, as well as dishes similar to Turkmen ones, such as qutab and tandir (tandoor). The event will end on August 8.
