Azerbaijan showcases at India's international tourism exhibition

Organized by the Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency and the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, 24 representatives from the tourism sector and Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) participated in SATTE 2025, an international tourism exhibition held in New Delhi, India, Report informs, citing the agency.

The exhibition featured 50 countries, 28 state tourism bureaus, and over 2,000 participants. Azerbaijan's stand highlighted national cuisine, mountain ski resorts, wine tourism, health tourism, ecotourism opportunities, winter tourism, and other offerings.

To promote Azerbaijani gastronomy, the stand featured national sweets and tea, allowing visitors to experience the country's culinary traditions firsthand.

As South Asia's leading tourism exhibition, SATTE provides an essential platform for strengthening Azerbaijani tourism's foothold in the Indian market, forging connections with industry leaders, and exploring new collaboration opportunities.

In January 2025, the number of Indian visitors to Azerbaijan increased by 68% compared to the same period last year, reaching 17,073 visitors.
Overall, visits from the South Asian region to Azerbaijan last year totaled 335,727, marking an increase of more than 85% from the previous year.
