Azerbaijan sees increase in incoming flight

Azerbaijan welcomed 9,818 flights in the first five months of 2024, marking a 22.5% increase from the same timeframe in the previous year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Tourism Agency.

The majority of these flights were from Russia, totaling 2,928, which is an 11.6% increase from last year.

In May 2024 alone, Azerbaijan saw 2,228 incoming flights, 23.4% more than in May of the previous year. Of these, 689 flights came from Russia, 16.3% more than in the same month last year.

Following Russia, Türkiye was the second-largest source of flights to Azerbaijan, with 2,083 flights representing a 10.2% increase from the year before.

Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates ranked third, contributing 1,231 flights, a significant 38.6% rise from the previous year.
