Azerbaijan posts twofold increase in value of mutual tourism services

Over the past year, the value of the mutual tourism services turnover in Azerbaijan doubled compared to 2021, reaching $1.7 billion.

Report informs referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan that the deficit of $69.4 million was formed as a result the excess value of imports of tourism services ($892.7 million) over the value of exports ($823.3 million) during the reporting period. Over the past year, the number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling abroad increased by 53%, and the number of foreign citizens arriving in Azerbaijan doubled.
