Azerbaijan posts almost 40% growth in passenger transportation by air

In January-April of this year, 908,834 passengers were transported by air from Azerbaijan, an increase of 39.4% from the same period of 2023, Report informs citing the State Tourism Agency.
During the reporting period, the biggest number of passengers - 254,551 passengers - visited Russia, up 27.7% from a year ago.
Russia is followed by Türkiye (225,607 passengers, +26.9%) and the United Arab Emirates (128,675 passengers, +46%).
In April alone, 254,176 passengers were transported from Azerbaijan. This is 42.8% more than the same month last year. In April, the number of travelers to Russia increased by 26.2% to 73,030 passengers.
