The State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan has established a working group involving representatives from the public and private sectors, as well as public associations, to foster the development of health tourism in the country, according to Fuad Naghiyev, Chairman of the State Agency, at the Health Leaders Summit.
According to Report, Naghiyev said the working group aims to identify challenges in the health tourism sector, propose solutions, and strengthen collaboration among market participants. Representatives from the Ministry of Health, TƏBİB (Management Union of Medical Territorial Units), and other relevant agencies are actively involved in the group's efforts.
The primary objectives of the working group include managing health and medical tourism, improving infrastructure, enhancing the quality of services, implementing international best practices.
Fuad Naghiyev emphasized that Naftalan, Nakhchivan, Kalbajar, and Lachin have excellent prospects for developing health tourism due to their unique healing resources. The regular development and implementation of proposals for the growth of these territories will be one of the working group's top priorities, he said.
