Azerbaijan and Belgium discuss establishment of direct air links

Direct air links between Azerbaijan and Belgium have been discussed, President of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) Samir Rzayev wrote on X, Report informs.

The talks were held during the Meeting of AZAL president with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Azerbaijan Julien de Frepon.

According to Samir Rzayev, this meeting once again showed that civil aviation is not only about passenger transportation, but also a bridge between cultures, people and opportunities.

"During the meeting, we talked about AZAL's future strategic goals and shared our ideas on issues that are priorities for us - sustainable development, passenger satisfaction and innovation with our partners. The idea of establishing direct air links between Azerbaijan and Belgium also took a special place in our conversation. These opportunities are of great importance for both business cooperation and cultural exchange," said the president of AZAL.

AZAL's participation in COP29 and its commitment to aviation's role in building a greener future were also emphasized.
