The decision was made today by the event’s organizers following an online meeting in a five-sided format.

The minister added that the organizers of the Tokyo Olympics will reimburse the ticket money to foreign fans who will not be allowed to venues.
The meeting was also attended by the President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach, the head of the International Paralympic Committee Andrew Parsons, the Governor of Tokyo Yuriko Koike, and the President of the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee Seiko Hashimoto.
