Opening ceremony of 3rd CIS Games to be held in Azerbaijan's Ganja today

The opening ceremony of the 3rd CIS Games, hosted by Ganja City, Azerbaijan, will take place today.
According to Report, the event will begin at 07:00 pm local time (GMT+4) at the city stadium.
Karateka Asiman Gurbanli and taekwondo athlete Zemfira Hasanzada will carry the national flag of Azerbaijan.
The competition, which began two days ago, has brought together 1,624 athletes and 2,337 delegates from 13 countries. Azerbaijan is represented by 340 athletes, Russia by 262, Uzbekistan by 254, Belarus by 240, Kazakhstan by 147, Tajikistan by 144, Kyrgyzstan by 126, Turkmenistan by 48, Türkiye by 38, Cuba by 11, Kuwait by six, and Oman and Pakistan by four athletes.
The closing ceremony is scheduled for October 8 at Ganja City Stadium.
