Natalya Mamedova: No one is waiting for me in Azerbaijan

"There are no games or training sessions at the moment. We spend quarantine days as usual."

Former volleyball player of the Azerbaijani national team Natalya Mammadova told Report.

According to the 36-year-old athlete, due to the coronavirus pandemic, she could not leave Indonesia after the victory over Indonesian Jakarta.

She said she would not return to Azerbaijan when the flights resumed: "I do not live in Baku, no one is waiting for me there, I have no family. Therefore, I will not return to Azerbaijan."

"My teammate Odina Aliyeva and head coach Ziya Rajabov are waiting for the opening of flights to Baku. I will live here for now, because I do not have the opportunity to fly to another country. I do not know when the flight will take place," she said.

Notably, Natalya Mammadova played within Azerbaijani national team in 2004-2017.
