Volodymyr Zelenskyy (Ukrainian: Володимир Олександрович Зеленський) is a Ukrainian politician, statesman, and former entertainer who has served as the 6th President of Ukraine since May 2019. 1. Early Life and Entertainment Career

Background and Education: Born on January 25, 1978, in Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian SSR, into a Russian-speaking Jewish family, Zelenskyy earned a law degree from the Kryvyi Rih Institute of Economics (a branch of Kyiv National Economic University) in 2000, though he did not pursue a conventional legal practice.

Kvartal 95 and Media Success: He rose to fame as a prominent comedian, actor, screenwriter, and producer, co-founding the successful production company Studio Kvartal 95.

"Servant of the People": In 2015, Zelenskyy starred as an ordinary schoolteacher who unexpectedly ascends to the presidency after an anti-corruption rant goes viral in the hit satirical television series Servant of the People—a fictional role that directly foreshadowed his actual political trajectory.

2. Rise to Power and Early Presidency (2019–2022)

2019 Election: Capitalizing on widespread public disillusionment with traditional political elites and running on a strong anti-corruption platform under the newly formed Servant of the People party, Zelenskyy won a landslide victory against incumbent Petro Poroshenko, taking office in May 2019.
