UN welcomes action plan adoption against domestic violence

The UN Office in Azerbaijan welcomes the approval of President Ilham Aliyev's National Action Plan for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and is confident that the implementation of the Action Plan will lead to significant progress in the fight against domestic violence in the country.

According to Report, the UN Office in Azerbaijan expressed support for the activities carried out in this direction.

The mission expressed hope that implementing the action plan would lay a solid foundation for the formation of a single national referral mechanism through inter-agency cooperation and coordination in the fight against gender-based and domestic violence.
