UN recommends that Azerbaijan provide men with paid parental leave

The UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women recommended that the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Issues of Azerbaijan accelerate the process of introducing 14-day paid parental leave for fathers into legislation, Report informs.
The recommendations provide for the adoption of targeted, as well as educational measures for the equal distribution of child care responsibilities, and the acceleration of the adoption of draft amendments to the Labor Code to provide men with 14-day paid child care leave.
