UN resident coordinator: Financial and human resources for social security should be increased

“Social security and the opening of new jobs are one of the main directions. Therefore, financial and human resources should be increased,” Vladanka Andreeva, the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, said at the international conference - “DOST 2023: A Single Platform for Providing Flexible, Innovative and Sustainable Services,” Report informs.

According to her, the vulnerable group suffered more during the pandemic:

“After that period, crises were observed in many areas. The importance of social security is increasing all over the world. Against the backlash of increasing inequality, access to social security for all is one of the main goals. Financial and human resources should be increased. A system should be established to provide timely and innovative services. Having a single platform has a special effect on the provision of social services. The government of Azerbaijan proves that it stands by every citizen by ensuring that all people are covered by social security. Everyone is aware of the services of DOST.”
