UN recommends improving support for parents of children with disabilities in Azerbaijan

The UN Committee on the Rights of the Child recommended that the State Committee on Family, Women and Children of Azerbaijan strengthen support for parents of children with disabilities and ensure these children have the right to grow up in their family environment, Report informs.

At the same time, the UN committee also recommended increasing the availability of public services, including early intervention and daycare services, supporting NGOs providing such services and providing adequate socio-economic support to parents.
